Brewery in the city, the city in the brewery - architectural and urban redevelopment of a brewery in Znojmo
Balážová, Zuzana ; Ludvíková, Iveta (referee) ; Kopáčik, Gabriel (advisor)
Brewery premises waiting for its time once again to raise their fate. The proposal deals with thinning adequate space for the return of the former grandeur of the castle courtyard. Take the power of its current and cumbersome, and bring back into the historic character of the former in the form of vertical predatory towers and all the socio-eco-logical aspects.
New South District and its Connection to Svratka
Musilová, Michaela ; Hybská, Bohumila (referee) ; Sedláček, Michal (advisor)
Architectual study deals with the design of an apartment building in the new south district in Brno – area the south from the existing main station. Living close to the Svratka river and concurrently near historic centre are the greatest potentials of the territory. Another similar place does not exist anywhere in Brno. The project follows plans of building a new main station of the city. This includes extensive transport infrastructure. The new district is connected to the Brno boulevard and also to „highline“ park on the historic viaduct. The area was not built till today, although it is really attractive and unusual place in the city. The main reason is flood area located here. Nowadays a city administration is preparing a new zoning plan, which suggests many flood control measures. In my thesis I am interested in one block of buildings from the new district, which is situated close to the river. One of these apartment buildings is designed in more detail. This is the coner object located near the square. The house is composed of eight floors – two underground and six upper floors. Garages are located underground. Entrance area for residents, technical background and some home-office units are planed on the first storey. The part of the first floor is rentable – coner space for cafe or bar. Upper floors have only resident function. Varied flats are two-rooms to five-rooms. A part of proposal is also outdoor spaces. They are very significant for really beautiful views to the waterfront, the river and adjancent park. All housing units have loggia, balcony or terrace. Home-office units on the first floor are completed with private gadens in the courtyard. Roof apartments are favored for theirs private roof gardens. But a part of roof green terraces is available for all residents of the house.
Energy use of waste
Přidal, Milan ; Špiláček, Michal (referee) ; Baláš, Marek (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with waste-to-energy topic. The first part is focused on basic informations about waste. Specifically about production, distribution and hieararchy of waste management. The following section describes composition and properties of municipal waste as a fuel. This part also evotes some technologies which are used in facilities for the energy use of waste. Third and fourth chapter shows and compares particular waste-to-energy plants in Czech republic and rest of the world. The goal of final part is to warn about some ecological aspects and try to create their objective view.
DEVELOPMENT OF SPECIAL REHABILITATION MATERIALS FOR CONCRETE FOR EXTREME STRESS WITH USE OF SECONDARY RAW MATERIALS
Hodul, Jakub ; Klečka,, Tomáš (referee) ; Ďurica,, Tibor (referee) ; Bydžovský, Jiří (referee) ; Drochytka, Rostislav (advisor)
The doctoral thesis deals with finding the use of some waste and secondary raw materials in the production of special polymer remediation materials for concrete, which could be applied even in constructions, where extreme mechanical and chemical load is occurred. The aim of this doctoral thesis is experimental examination of the possibility of using selected types of waste, including hazardous waste which represent the highest risk to environment, and secondary raw materials as a substitute for the currently used primary fillers in order to reduce the ecological footprint of the product itself. Some types of secondary raw materials, such as filter fly ash contaminated by flue gas denitrification process, are no longer used as a concrete admixture or partial cement substitution due to unwanted release of toxic ammonia (NH3). Mainly for this reason, the thesis deals with the progressive utilization of such types of secondary raw materials as well as with another currently unused waste into polymeric patching, grouting and anchoring materials while preserving or improving the final properties compared to reference materials using only primary raw materials. The result of this thesis is to find out suitable formulations for efficient preparation of special polymeric remediation materials for concrete containing waste and secondary raw materials as fillers. The partial aim of the thesis and a the scientific contribution is an observation of the developed materials internal structure using a modern device, CT tomography, an influence of the filler type on the long-term durability, and last but not least the observation of the rate of pollutants incorporation, found in hazardous waste, into the polymeric matric with the aid of EDX and FTIR analysis.

Bipedal locomotion of primates: ecological, ontogenetic, and morphological aspects
Letošníková, Lenka ; Hora, Martin (advisor) ; Novák, Jan (referee)
In my bachelor's thesis I focus on bipedal locomotion and bipedal posture of various primate species in a morphological, ontogenetic and ecological context. Nowadays, a habitual bipedalism is used only by human, about whom I mention only marginally with comparing him to the other primates in my thesis. First part of thesis deals with morphological aspects of bipedal primate locomotion, including description of anatomical differences of primate species and comparison of bipedal walk to quadrupedal walk. Next in thesis, I deal with ontogenetic aspects of bipedal primate locomotion, where I compare the rate of bipedal use among infant and adult primates and also among selected primate species. Finally, I describe the use of bipedal walk and bipedal postures of primates in different situations and ecological conditions. Keywords: bipedalism, primates, primate locomotion, ontogenetic aspects, morphology, ecological aspects, transport, human

Sociálně ekologické aspekty pěstování palmy olejné a dovozu palmového oleje do České republiky
Štěpánová, Monika
The bachelor thesis describes the family Arecaceae and genus Elaeis. The following chapters deal with the history of the distribution of palm oil, suitable climatic conditions for growing the tree, obtaining of fruits and their processing. Part of the work is devoted to the world's largest producers, exporters and importers of palm oil. Graphs and tables complement the statistic. Next section states the import of palm oil into the Czech Republic and the largest importers into the European reselling countries are characterized. I follow with these importers in the last part, where I describe the environmental and social impacts of oil palm cultivation on the environments and inhabitants of these states.
